We're examining the effectiveness of rapid recompression tools such as the "Seaqualizer" and venting affect Red Snapper post-release survival. Fish are being collected at artificial reef sites and fitted with Lotek pressure/motion transmitters and monitored for activity with an array of fixed acoustic receivers. One of our goals it to examine the impacts of season and depth on the effectiveness of these two recompression strategies.
